I just got this EP today, and honestly, it's not been stopped from playing. I love it.

And judging by the song played live from the new album, I think the upcoming full-length will be something that'll be loved even more.

I wonder if he's sat in his house blasting the EP? That'd be hilarious. I do wonder if he still holds a torch to all things JKB as I noticed Daymare are also known as Ipecac Japan.

I hadn't seen that before, excellent

It's obvious that "Malpractice" by FNM is influenced by Godflesh.

I'm really really enjoying this EP! My first listen was when I was horribly jetlagged and I enjoyed it then, which was a good sign and have been playing it continuously.

Like others, I'm not dissecting it too much and just enjoying it for what it is, and the dub tracks are great too. Can't wait to listen to it with a decent pair of headphones.

Bring on the new album!

I also want to mention how much I love Jesu's "Annul" and "Dethroned" in that Godflesh way. Those have tided me over until now. I actually like those better, but whatever, it's nit-picking. Bring on the Godflesh LP!!!!!! And I do hope it is the Jesu s/t to this EP's Heartache. But I'll stop there.

Im totally suing Godflesh now.

Benny's bassline in that last section of Playing With Fire is a total ripoff of the chorus progression from Monotremata's 'Beyond Flesh'!!! Oh wait I didnt come up with that anyways..

The e.p. is a "grower" for sure. I was kinda lukewarm on it at first, but I like it a bit more with each time that I listen to it.

Same here.. I wasnt exactly thrilled when I first heard it (like the day I bought all the other albums new) but after the second or third listen, Ive listened to it at least once a day since it came out. I think I listened to it like 4 times the other night at work..

Its definitely the later 'groovy' material but man it works so perfect now that Justin's learned how to put his guitars back and mix a bass properly!! Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

The CD made its way to Oz in ultra quick time. Like less than a week. Or thereabouts.

Nothing here yet. Anybody else still without their copy.

I can't see why Justin would hate me at the moment. Travelled to France to see him. What greater sacrifice is there for a band?

According to bandcamp the digital download appears on 341 other collections.

I find that depressing Sad

Travelling to France is indeed a great sacrifice. I hope it was worth it this time Razz

The Japanese edition from Inoxia arrived today in the post. I'd only heard Ringer to date, was waiting on getting the full thing, based on my 'yep it's okay' response to that.

It's a pretty solid release especially for a 'reunion' act which always makes me a little dubious from the get go. Especially in regards to JKB's oft quoted statement about Godflesh being a outlet for pure expression and nihilism. Obviously he is not the same person, so is this some artificial angst? Those doubts and questions notwithstanding...this a good release and yep the dubs are really good too.

Have to say that the title track is definitely my favourite, but it is marred somewhat by the peaky brickwalling. I'm assuming it's an aesthetic choice, but in the context of the rest of the record it actually sounds like a mastering mistake as the rest sounds really good, hot, but not overtly so.

Bring on the album!

The vinyl mastering is great -- nice and punchy. I had gotten the download a few weeks ago and it sounded fine, but I pick up more detail in the mix listening to it on vinyl.

Now I can really pretend that Hymns doesn't exist and that this is the worthy follow-up to Us & Them!
