Not only are you twonks shitting up this board, but you're now brazenly claiming that you're upping the quality around here. It's just unbelievable.

Is that a euphamism?
Also, is it legal in Canada?

It was passable... I've just discovered some Bathory vinyl that I don't own yet in a shop in sydney (my poor credit card). Decisions, decisions...

ooh--which one(s) you get?

my music budget has been null for months, really looking forward to a new project that's just starting so I can start knocking things of the wish list.

For one, I want to get that new Tad project if it's out.

All the merry twonks continue to create a foul stench of twonkishness.

Brothers of the Sonic Cloth is heavy as shit and really fun. Definitely get that shit, klawfistula.

I already had 'The return' and 'Under the sign of the black mark' on vinyl, both 2nd hand scores from the early 90's... the return had a sticky label on it saying 'Batlord' lol

I picked up the S/T, Blood fire death, Hammerheart and Twilight of the gods. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm not aware that they did any other albums.

And yes, I sent Adam my list...

BATLORD.

I did PM Adam my list after hastily recreating it. I'm guessing a whopping 5 or 6 of us total did ;P

he actually kept on recording up to the time he died. there are 6 bathory albums after twilight, but i have no heard them all. Nordland I and II seem to be the most highly acclaimed, and those were done right before he died, or the second one was. Some of the nineties stuff is pretty shitty IMO.

Oh, Boyd knows full well the complete Bathory discography.

He is taunting me, because I love the Nordlands and Blood on Ice and he thinks they are terrible.

Nice haul, Boyd, you bastard.

Sorry yourenotevil, I was taking the piss out of klawful Very Happy

Those mid 90's albums are dreadful and I won't even comment on Nordland, etc. I was chatting to the guy at the shop I bought them from and a friend of his is thanked on the third Bathory album and was even sent a bone by Quorthon, like the bones he used to wear back then. I'm pretty sure they were chicken, probably Quorthon bought a roast chicken from the local supermarket or something.

This sums up Klawful and my feelings towards Bathory pretty well. (Klawful would be too modest to share his own artwork so I'll do it for him!)

hahaaaa. someday gonna flesh out a whole book of those two...

" like the bones he used to wear back then. I'm pretty sure they were chicken, probably Quorthon bought a roast chicken from the local supermarket or something."

HA! that's great!

seriously though, i don't understand how anyone can not like Blood on Ice---it's Quorthon basically reworking old Conan comics and Norse mythology into an album.

Conan. Norse Mythology. Guitars. C'mon!

plus

it's got this cover by the one and only Necrolord Wahlin

frozen, hostile environment, fucking mystical old man, menacing snake, hooded menace directing a sled of monster-wolves, magical sword, extra-legs majestic horse, and a hero who has torn his own eyes out in his quest for vengeance.

that's how to do an album cover

I agree, the mid 90's material is weak sauce. I'm sort of embarrassed for klawful if he seriously defends this stuff.

I've never actually listened to any of those albums.

Just winding up klawful for shits and giggles.

Winding up klawful is always a very rewarding experience and I recommend it highly.
