Let's send some positive thoughts to Marcus Doomride... He lives in Miami, which has just been pummeled by Hurricane Irma, and I haven't gotten any texts from him since Saturday, right before the storm hit.

I assume power is out all over the city right now and we'll hear from him soon enough, but still wanted to send some good vibes out to him at this difficult time.

He'll likely be without power for quite a while -- my father lives in Tarpon Springs, which is northwest of Tampa and received only a fraction of the storm's force compared with Miami, and he still doesn't have power yet.

Just heard from Marcus. He still doesn't have power, but he's fine. Sounds like the storm was a harrowing experience, not surprisingly.

Thanks for the concern Joshy Boy and others...hurricanes totally suck ass...avoid them if you can...pretty terrifying experience...some damage at my house but luckily nothing seriously major...I was most worried about my music and my guitars which are all intact....had we got a direct hit with a category 5 I most likely would have lost everything...also luckily Miami will avoid Hurricane Maria which just devastated an already devastated Caribbean and Puerto Rico is getting fucked now...

Earthquakes and hurricanes like crazy right now...mother nature will eat you up!!!!!!

Thanks Yoga Pansy

Thanks Sidney...

One last thing about these fucking hurricanes: while they are definitely terrifying(.in this particular case the winds were about 120 mph)they are also very cool for audio junkies such as ourselves....its a strange juxtaposition when you are worried that a tree will fall on your house(that jappened) or having your roof ripped off(that didn't happen thankfully) but also strangely enjoying the strange sonic ambient assault going on around you...the mixture of high speed winds, whipping palm years, clanging of all sorts as debris falls around you, crashing and banging of all sorts, power lines coming down, transformers blowing etc is quite a sonic experience...but not one I am looking to experience again anytime soon

Yeah, one that can rip your roof off and knock trees over and send projectiles flying through the air....kind of like listening to Scorn...
