trekked over there last night, was worth the effort. massive sound, though i was about 4 foot from the PA. missed the "pure 3" opportunity as i was expecting an encore but there wasn't, bah. mono were somewhat of a revelation as well. got round to getting "pale sketches" as well (aren't i slow?), there are some great songs on there, which i enjoyed as i drove back past Stanlow!
will do a full review for my friends webzine soon, here's some pics of the "classic" ( ) jesu line-up

Indeed, we in Euro/UK land may not have Dave but we do have "classic".
Somoene needs to record a UK show so we can analyse the small nuances of the line-up differences. |

Was the set list the same?
I'm trekking all the way to Leeds for this. That shows dedication, since i live about 20 minutes from London. The Scalas age limit is stupid. -.-
Can't wait till tomorow night. Mono should be awesome too |

Actually only two haha, I got the piss yellow and the gray/clear ones . I skipped out on the second pressing in red once I found out I could get the original ones from Southern's US store (which they STILL dont have online! Had to email about the new Blood and Time disc last week).
They actually had Sundown/Sunrise in stock at Amoeba records about a month ago when Jesu played in the store.. Was gonna pick em up for Stevetrash but by the time I got back down there ALL of the Jesu shit was cleared out except for a shitload of Lifeline and Eluvium splits. |

Yeah i was surprised to see the Sunrise/Sundown vinyl. It was only £10 which is less than what i saw it go for on Ebay! Hang on, have i missed out on a money making oppertunity?
The hoodie has a small jesu logo above a silver picture.
I am going to the show in Birmingham too so if anyone wants any vinyl i could get it and mail it out. |

I was so pissed off at that gig. WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME THE MERCH STALL WAS CLOSING AT 8.45.
Jesu hadn't even finished playing by then

Yeah but I didn't go up to the Merch stall until towards the end of Mono's set because I didn't want to scratch the Vinyl I was going to get.

Yeah, thanks a lot for the upload, this is the first show I have actually pulled myself together to download.
Having never heard Jesu Live, I just wondered, does the vocals always sound so low in the mix when they play? It also sounds like JB has trouble to sing in key, but most rock singers know of that problem I guess
Oh, and great little sneeze in the beginning of 'Friends are evil' |
