I don't think the CD came with a booklet, so lyric time anyone?

i haven't even given it a proper listen yet, various interrupted sessions, with my vinyl still to come this week. (ordered from UKEM, they only got them late thurs, sent fri, didn;t get any blacks so upgraded me to the coloured they received Smile ) . love it though, it will grow all the more, also appreciate Nick cage wicker man. went to a scratch and sniff version of the original, in a church. such is the avalancher life. I'M IN IT FOR LIFE!

I had to read that twice. The first time I thought it said it would playing for quite some time around your pants.

Also - Ill give $10 to the first person that can decipher the correct lyrics to the track Post Self hah.

Yes, it's listed on their hp as well with a note to mail them about international shipping, which I have. Unfortunately I did not get a reply yet. I can not tolerate such a lack of efficiency.

My vinyl arrived yesterday, though. Somewhat sparse packaging I must say but I guess that's part of the minimalist concept.

I can see why people mark it as a spiritual successor to Us & Them. In parts it reminds me of SoLaH as well. But I don't think it sounds like any other other GF album. I'm ipmressed. It is definitely an album that is a clear step forward for Godflesh and adds something to the dicography.

I liked AWLOBF a lot, but one can argue that Justin was playing is safe with that album. Post-Self is anything but a safe bet.

Hopefully the LP will make it into the shops soon -- it's not yet in my local ones (which are usually right on top of everything), and none of the big online retailers, from Amazon & Amoeba to Juno, has it in stock.

love the record... while it took longer for me to get into this one, i can't stop playing it now. there isn't a bad GF record and every track reminds me of a different part of JKB's career

- post: JK Flesh
- parasite: hymns/soLaH
- no body: U&T
- light: wilderness of mirrors (not just because of the name)
- be god: a filthy Greymachine
- cyclic: jesu's christmas
- mortality: T/A?
- shadow: slavestate/even elements of s/t in the middle sections

still trying to figure out pre and infinite likeness oh and Cyclic DUB FTW

hopefully these aren't too polarizing, but curious if anyone else is hearing the same.

Has there been any indication that Godflesh will tour behind this new album? My intuition is telling me they won't tour, because they didn't really tour behind Us & Them.... Is my correct on that last assertion? I definitely didn't see them on the US & Them tour and never heard any of those songs live, but maybe they just didn't tour the States.

I translated the Greek article that someone posted and Justin said:
Godflesh will not do many tours anymore, I do not find it interesting due to many factors, but I like to play some shows.

I saw them in a little pub backroom touring for U&T. "I, Me, Mine" was a hell of a set opener and I had a lovely chat with Justin afterwards. I was the only person on the dancefloor for KMart's opening set of Alec Empire & DJ Scud tunes Smile (he did the live sound for GF as well).

RE: new album - hearing touches of Pure. Slavestate & Us & Them - so it's in the 'pushing boundaries' section of the GF discography and all the better for it.

Shiiiiiiitttt.... That totally blows! I can't say I'm surprised, though. Justin never seemed to like touring that much.

I'm still waiting to get my hands on the vinyl. No one Stateside has it, nor do any of the big UK online retailers (Juno, Amazon, Norman). Maybe JKB has outsourced JKB Time to his distributors?

weird that it's not on amazon, etc. I saw it at a shop last week in Connecticut--so it must be getting over here via special orders or something?

this shop:

a good shop to visit if any of you end up in the CT area.

I've ordered from them at least a half-dozen times via Discogs -- always good prices, great condition on used stuff, and immediate shipping. Good people. They don't have Post Self in their Discogs store, though, so maybe it sold.

Thanks for the heads-up -- they just put it up on Discogs and I bought it. Still no sign of the LP anywhere else in the US.

Nice! Yeah--that's weird, I looked on Amazon just before I came here to see if the distribution had been sorted.
