I feel kinda weird posting this here so shamelessly but okay... I'm still a newbie so please bear with me Smile Any comments are more than welcome.

Winter Ambient Works
(2010)

Winter Ambient Works originated from, who would have thought, winter. I would stare into the endless white of the horizon and watch the endless commotion of blurred entities. No faces, no identities. Struggling not to be consumed by the white monster but still failing miserably. Powerless, that's the best way how you can put it. Yet, throughout the overwhelming amounts of snow and wickedly low temperatures, I always saw the more subtle, let's say esoteric, side of it all. I tried to incorporate this more melancholic sound into this work. Hope it worked out all right.

Greatly inspired by "Reading All The Right Signals Wrong" by Final.

You can download it, both in a FLAC and MP3 format right HERE.
Or You can listen to it online on my SOUNDCLOUD account.

Thanks Golz. Yeah I tend to label my stuff as "Wounds", apparently there already is a band going by that name but screw it. I can't figure out anything better without sounding stupid Very Happy

A friend just mailed me that he's starting a DIY label and asked me if I'd like to participate. Shocked I'll keep you guys posted.

Sooo the album has been around for over a month now and as far as statistics go, it has been downloaded or streamed over 50 times. Which is a good number I think for a newcomer, and with no promotion whatsoever.

What I really wanted to say is - a REMIX album, that's what I've though about for some time, and you know, why not? I know there are a lot of creative dudes around so if anyone feels creative and would like to participate I can fix you with the multi-tracks. No rules, no boundaries. Smash it and bend it to your needs, do whatever you like with it.

Cheers.

yeah, I though they would be rather shabby but my man certainly did his homework. The paper is thick and feels great. And the whole thing smells nice too (okay drought, getting a bit weird there....)

Sorry I didn't respond sooner - the whole remix thingy is still underway and will probably be for some time since July is the closest date I can imagine it being released. I'll PM you guys the files later.

Cheers

How are the remixes going? So far I have received 2, one from chickenfish and one from Mothra, both sound darn good. BUT I WANT MORE! The deadline for submitting something is July 10th (this is of course not carved in stone, just try to be finished around that date). Hope I'll hear from you guys pretty soon Wink

cheers

Really like the piano on Idle, it captures perfectly the bleak finality of looking out over a winter landscape and realizing that all is hopeless and meaningless. Awesome artwork as well.

I liked the background horns on Idle. Wink
I've got to give big props for the lead synths on Echoes of the Past, honestly.

I made a start but I've been quite busy. I'll be able to attack it after the 16th but up until then I have to spend every spare minute working on my live set.
